Located down quiet Delmonden Lane about a mile from Hawkurst, secluded Well Cottage is the ideal place to relax and unwind, with its lovely uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside.

Explore the many attractions of Kent and East Sussex at your leisure. There is ample off road parking on our gravel driveway, and a secure lockable store for bicycles.

A 'Kentish' style - Breakfast - is served in the Sun Room of Well Cottage.

B&B Near Hawkhurst, Cranbrook, Ticehurst & Tunbridge Wells

The coast of south east England at Rye and Hastings is only a short drive away, as is Royal Tunbridge Wells and Sissinghurst Gardens, with Bedgebury and Bewl Water both five minutes drive away.

There is a - Choice of Accommodation at Well Cottage - you can stay in the main house or in the popular garden pavilion.

Facilities and amenities in Hawkhurst include a wide range of pubs and restaurants within easy reach, shops, banks, farm shops and the nearby Wealden Smokery.

Activities, Sports and Other Places of Interest

At Bewl Water there are facilities for visitors to go sailing, walking or fishing. Cycling is popular in this part of Kent and bike hire is available at Bewl Water and Bedgebury Forest, home of 'Go Ape' adventure centre. Some recent guests commented upon the wealth of cycle routes and trails they found to be available here.

Places of interest include Scotney Castle, the nearby ruins of Bayham Abbey, Bodiam Castle (stunning setting), Battle Abbey (historic stories from 1066), Batemans - the birthplace of Rudyard Kipling, and of course Royal Tunbridge Wells - famous landmarks such as The Pantiles.

You can visit the museum of musical instruments at Finchcocks, or Hastings - with its arty and attractive old town, fishing boats on the beach and wonderful cliff top walks. Another great place for walks is The Weald, where the well-marked footpaths include some that lead directly from Well Cottage Bed and Breakfast, including the Sussex Border Path.

Rye, an historic 'Cinque Port', Winchelsea or Romney Marsh are popular places to go, Romney being home to a wide range of birdlife, a collection of unique churches, a miniature railway, and a Military Canal. Tenterden is a lovely town with Georgian Buildings, the Kent and East Sussex Railway and the nearby Chapel Down vineyard (steam trains to Bodiam also depart from Tenterden).
